For years, I didn't step into Times Supermarket. Didn't need to. There's a Foodland close by. Then I was at Kahala Times one day and noticed the deli in the back. The plate lunches. WOW. So I'm a semi-regular to any Times these days for the plate lunch, which is normally stocked-plus with awesome food. Homemade always rules.
On this day, I saw the discounted food near the entrance. I just need a snack. This filled the bill. Shiso musubi. Furikake musubi. Daikon. Some fried fish. $2.99. Nice.
I'm not obsessed with cheap eats. I just like having options when I'm not super hungry and don't want to spend $10 for a plate lunch. This is an excellent option.
