Pork and peas, aka pork guisantes, is such a regular on my personal menu that it's strange that I never had it as a kid. But it's always on deck at 7-Eleven, a solid $4 snack that is tasty — that tomato-based gravy is a winner — and cheap. I'll skip rice for a first meal of the day if I'm not hungry, but the variety of offerings at 7-Eleven have really expanded. The taste and quality are surprising, but it's been consistent, so much so that it's actually not that surprising anymore.
