My recent ventures to the Movie Museum theater on nearby Harding Avenue have led me back to Hokkaido Ramen. They were actually open on Saturday night while most restaurants were closed due to the threat of Hurricane Lane.
My first return visit, I had miso ramen. Solid. Second time, less hungry, I got miso soup (yes!) and their gyoza. I am, unabashedly, a gyoza snob. Nobody beats Taiyo Ramen gyoza, but this one almost looks the same. Just not quite as crispy and the stuffing doesn't hold together as well. Small details once I shovel everything into my mouth. I did appreciate the garlic. Awesome. And they have chili oil and vinegar, again, similar to Taiyo.
