It was already early afternoon when I left Kilauea, planning to do the East Hawaii leg of this postal tour. I couldn't remember Mountain View Post Office from the previous visit in the 1990s. Thank God for Google Maps. While I was here, I checked Google Maps about the next spot, Kurtistown, and nothing showed up.
A nice lady, who had her doggie in the car — a LOT OF PEOPLE TRAVEL WITH THEIR DOGGIES on the Big Island — was kind enough to direct me. She said look for the 7-Eleven on the right. So I left with optimism.
