Purely by coincidence, I ended up with a mini bowl of Cold Ginger Chicken from Liliha L&L Hawaiian Barbeque and a couple of pieces of Spicy Chicken from Dillingham Popeye's. (It was 10 pieces for $10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.)
Both so tasty and pure. But put some of that ginger/garlic/green onion sauce on the Popeye's chicken and you have something close to nirvana.
I might have to order the sauce only for the spicy chicken next time. Question is, would L&L do this? I can just hear it. "Sauce only? Ginger chicken sauce? No."
Or maybe. Why wouldn't Popeyes and L&L collaborate on something magical like this? And sell it in movie theaters?
