Faith’s Place: Hand-cut fries, Mayo-mustard sauce

This is an almost automatic pit stop on any trip to Waianae. Back in the  this was Tasty Freeze, a place I’d heard a lot about from old friend Patrick Pharr, a former Maile resident. He wasn’t kidding. Since day one, taste one, these hand-cut fried and the luscious mayo-mustard sauce have been an original must-have menu item.

I remember on one visit. I could see a bunch of empty boxes in the back. Idaho potato boxes. The name changed, but the Fries have not. Hand cutting makes all the difference in freshness and that tender texture.

I’ll try one of the plate lunches one day. With fries on the side.
