Solitude, sort of. Diamond Head Lookout can be busy on a weekend afternoon. Sundown on a Sunday was pleasant even with the shuffling crowd. There were Polish-speaking visitors. Chinese (Cantonese) and Japanese. An African-American dad on his phone with his daughter. American teenage kids. A Filipino couple laughing and sobbing. Most folks taking selfies. People who don’t say a word. I was more like this dove, alone and happy for some peaceful time and the sound of gentle waves. #diamondhead
