Bad Boys for Life: Action with touch of gray

There’s a certain rhythm and pattern to Will Smith action movies, at least the most recent ones. It works. His previous movie had a producer from China. This is a sequel that plays completely to its status among buddy-cop flicks. When the two co-leads sing the actual "Bad Boys" song, well, it's probably a franchise. Major plot lines are really hard to believe about Smith’s character and his decisions from life before law enforcement. But this is a lot about suspended reality and, in a small, powerful way, the process of aging. This film really tried. ‘Nuff said.
