Statewide 20:20 honors high school graduates

The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown have hindered Hawaii graduation tradition, but schools statewide honor graduating students anyway.

On each Friday Night, beginning yesterday through May, stadium lights will be on full blast for 20 minutes, 20 seconds. Here’s what they looked like via social media.

Graduates, especially those student-athletes who lost their opportunity for one last spring season with their beloved teammates, our hearts are with your hearts. Your courage and confidence through this global crisis will not be forgotten. Your joy and love of life will be the strength and light that shines brightest for all of us, young and not-so-young. Blessings.
