In a new twist tonight, Damien Memorial School has announced to its community the firing of school president Bro. Brian Walsh, who had let go of as many as 18 school employees, including football coach and assistant athletic director Eddie Klaneski, in the morning.
A source at Damien confirmed the news, which was posted on social media by Ian Scheuring of Hawaii News Now and Rob DeMello of KHON/Cover 2. That tsunami earlier in the day included the switch of Rudy Alejo from his position as athletic director to a teaching position.
There is no word yet on the status of the employees, including Klaneski, who were released.
