Harrison shot 12-for-14 from the field, including 3-for-5 from the arc in the hometown win at Salamanca. He signed with the club in August. Harrison was a two-time Star-Advertiser All-State wing for Kalaheo, where the Mustangs won two state championships during his prep career.
The 6-foot-5 wing is averaging 14 points per game in his first pro season on 65 percent shooting from the field.
"Kupaa is playing great. He is adjusting to their style of play and getting better each game," said Aukai Wong, who was an assistant coach at UH-Hilo when Harrison played there. "It was only a matter of time before he would have a game like this."
CB Tormes La Antigua, a.k.a. Usal La Antigua, leads Group A-B of Liga EBA (Liga Española de Baloncesto Aficionado), the second-highest tier in Spanish professional basketball. There are 127 teams total.
The next game is on the road at Univ. Valladolid (1-2) on Saturday before a month-long holiday break.
"He's starting to get comfortable and scoring more," said his father, Tim Harrison. "He's starting and his team is undefeated. He had a game this morning, but I couldn't watch because I was teaching a class. But I do know they won."
Harrison averaged 17.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game as a senior at UH-Hilo.
Note: Harrison scored 19 points in his previous game against Pas Pielagos on Nov. 28.
