The lust for Trappist beers

This piece in WSJ about true Trappist beers is absolutely entertaining. These guys at this one abbey produce "only" 60,000 cases per year, and there are car lines one mile long waiting to pick up the max limit (two cases per month).

I've had Chimay, which is a Trappist brew made in mass production. Wasn't bad, kind of maroon in color, and not worth the $12 or so that I paid for a big bottle. But I had to try it.
