$6 meal Palama Market: Bibimkooksoo

If Palama Market — this one is on North King Street and the other one is in Kaheka area — was any closer, I'd have the bibimkoosoo at least once a week. It's spicy, but not impairment-to-your-brain spicy. More of a sweet spicy with resounding kick. I usually add a fried egg. A soda helps digest things down below. I also took some pics around the store. The brown plastic boxes that are built for kimchi fermentation come in different sizes. I saw one of these at Don Quixote a few months back and put it to use to store and carry video camera stuff. Works really well. The inside cover actually pins down all moving particles, which is good since I don't want cameras and battery chargers bouncing around. Palama Market has all sizes of this product. Very handy.

The bibimkooksoo is less than $6. It's menu item #11. The diner is in the back of the store.
