Their hours changed recently — they close at 3 p.m. — so I was stoked to be at Tanioka’s recently in time for some ono goodies. Their musubi are so perfect for folks who love pickled vegetables. I love shibazuke (pickled eggplant). Their fried chicken — this was a first for me. So good, easily Top 10. The ahi patty is a must-have for me.
So classic Waipahu. Long line, yes, but it moves quickly. I heart you, Tanioka's.
